Conducted by Bob W1RH

To have your favorite QSL card featured in the Nugget, just email Bob W1RH an electronic copy or trust him with a hard copy and he will scan it and return it to you in the same condition he received it.

I got this card from Michal, WA6RZ, who lives in El Dorado Hills. He worked Mohammad, V8AQM, in 2007, on 20 meter SSB.

“In 2025, Brunei, was listed at #141 on the most wanted DXCC entities. It took me a while to work it, but activity has gone up in recent years.  The prefix, prior to independence, was VS4. The Sultanate of Brunei’s influence peaked between the 15th and 17th centuries when its control extended over coastal areas of northwest Borneo and the southern Philippines.

“Brunei subsequently entered a period of decline brought on by internal strife over royal succession, colonial expansion of European powers, and piracy. In 1888, Brunei became a British protectorate; independence was achieved in 1984. The same family has ruled Brunei for over six centuries and is an absolute monarchy. Brunei benefits from extensive petroleum and natural gas fields, the source of one of the highest per capita GDPs in Asia.”
