Minutes of the January 31st Meeting (Richmaid Creamery, Lodi)

Meeting was called to order at 1:51 p.m. by Vice President Steve Allred, NC6R. There were 20  attending in person, including 3 guests and our presenter (sign-in sheet). Steve welcomed everyone. Each member introduced themselves.

Old Business

The Treasurer’s report was published in The Nugget in January. Bob Hess, W1RH made a motion to approve the report as  published, and seconded by Jay Harmon, KE6GLA. The motion was passed unanimously. Treasurer Sue Allred, K6SZQ made the point that dues are due, $30 for individual and $45 per family, as recently increased

The secretary’s November monthly report was was published in The Nugget in January. The motion to approve as published was made by Jay Harmor, KE6GLA  and seconded by Jason Pritchard, KE5JTS. The vote to approve was unanimous.

The motion to approve these officers was made by Rick Samoian, W6SR, and seconded by Norm Wilson, N6JV. The vote to approve was unanimous.

Announcements/Discussion

Steve then spoke about “Point Generator Profiles” and why they are helpful to both individual and club success. Steve also asked the members to give feedback on topics that they would like to see presentations on.

Our speaker, Gary Johnson, NA6O, presented a substantial overview of noise-reduction methods for Ham Radio, focusing especially on practical  approaches, and including some exhibits and live demonstrations of methods..
