Minutes of the June 13, 2026 Meeting (Peter’s Steak House. Isleton)

Meeting was called to order at 12:06 p.m. by President Steve Allred, NC6R. There were 22 attending in person, with two more attending via zoom.  Steve welcomed everyone. All attending introduced themselves.

New Business

The quarterly treasurer’s report is scheduled to be published in the July newsletter.

The secretary’s report was published in the May newsletter. Motion to approve the report was made by Bob Hess, W1RH, and seconded by Dave  Sanders, K6TQ. The vote was unanimous.

The club has been sponsoring the ARRL RTTY Roundup plaque. Cost is $107.  A motion to approve expenses for the plaque was made by Bob Kehr, KA9MDP, and seconded by Bob Hess, W1RH. The vote was unanimous.

IDXC Visalia 2027 needs help with paying for the lanyards and name badges. Steve is proposing that the club donates $200 toward these expenses. Rick Samoian, W6SR moved that we make this donation, and Rich Cutler, WC6H seconded. The vote was unanimous.

Member Achievements

Bob Hess, W1RH had not worked Europe on 6 meters since he left the east coast. He recently worked 6 German stations and Ireland.

Steve Allred, NC6R, worked several puerto Rico, St. Thomas, St Vincent, and some Japan stations on 6 meters recently. Steve still needs Delaware and Rhode Is.

Rick Bates NK7I, worked Turkmenistan (on 6?), but the copy was difficult.

Announcements/Discussion

There is a man that has a 41 foot man-lift that will bring it to a site for a reasonable fee. Rich Cutler, WC6H. Used it for antenna work and his fee was only $200.

Steve reminded us to use clublog, and to contact him if you can’t log into it.
